Under this new $38 billion agreement, which will have continued growth over the next seven years,\u00a0OpenAI is accessing\u00a0AWS\u00a0compute comprising hundreds of thousands of state-of-the-art NVIDIA GPUs, with the ability to expand to tens of millions of CPUs to rapidly scale agentic workloads.\u00a0AWS\u00a0has unusual experience running large-scale\u00a0AI\u00a0infrastructure securely, reliably,\u00a0and\u00a0at scale\u2013with clusters topping 500K chips.\u00a0AWS\u2019s leadership in cloud infrastructure combined with\u00a0OpenAI\u2019s pioneering advancements in generative\u00a0AI\u00a0will help millions of users continue to get value from ChatGPT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rapid advancement of\u00a0AI\u00a0technology has created unprecedented demand for computing power. As frontier model providers seek to push their models to new heights of intelligence, they are increasingly turning to\u00a0AWS\u00a0due to the performance, scale,\u00a0and\u00a0security they can achieve.\u00a0OpenAI will immediately start utilizing\u00a0AWS\u00a0compute as part of this partnership, with all capacity targeted to be deployed before the end of 2026,\u00a0and\u00a0the ability to expand further into 2027\u00a0and\u00a0beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The infrastructure deployment that\u00a0AWS\u00a0is building for\u00a0OpenAI features a sophisticated architectural design optimized for maximum\u00a0AI\u00a0processing efficiency\u00a0and\u00a0performance. Clustering the NVIDIA GPUs\u2014both GB200s\u00a0and\u00a0GB300s\u2014via Amazon EC2 UltraServers on the same network enables low-latency performance across interconnected systems, allowing\u00a0OpenAI to efficiently run workloads with optimal performance.
