According to the latest <strong>Accenture Pulse of Change<\/strong> research, the region leads the world in employee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebluewhale.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI<\/a> confidence and leadership communication. However, while revenue expectations remain high, a critical \u201cexecution gap\u201d remains, with the region facing the highest global concern regarding skills shortages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accenture\u2019s Pulse of Change survey reflects insights from 3,650 C-suite executives and 3,350 workers globally. In the Middle East, the findings reveal a region that is \u201cready but waiting\u201d: while 83% of leaders have a positive perception of Gen AI (compared to 82.6% globally), the region ranks among the lowest for actual job role redesign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Regional Insights:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Leads <\/strong><strong>Globally<\/strong><strong> in Workforce Readiness:<\/strong> The Middle East stands out as the most AI-prepared region globally:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>73% of the workforce is ready for AI training, significantly higher than the 51% global average.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>44% of Middle Eastern employees feel confident using AI, vs. 29% worldwide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regional leadership is the most transparent globally regarding AI\u2019s impact (26% vs. 17% worldwide).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The region ranks second globally for job security (56% vs 45%), highlighting a unique \u201chuman-first\u201d approach to AI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Revenue-Change Paradox:<\/strong> Optimism is high, but the pace of internal transformation is measured:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>89% anticipate revenue growth, consistent with the region\u2019s strong economic momentum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>78% expect higher levels of external disruption in 2026\u2014notably lower than the global average of 82%, suggesting a more stable but cautious transition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>83% of organizations plan to increase AI investment this year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Critical Challenges: The \u201cSkills Gap\u201d and Job Redesign:<\/strong> Despite high readiness, structural barriers could limit long-term ROI:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>47% of Middle Eastern leaders cite AI skills gaps as their top barrier to change\u2014more than double the global average of 22%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only 3% of organizations are actively redesigning job roles for an AI-enabled era, compared to 6% globally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" src=\"https:\/\/aiunplugged.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Untitled-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2763\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As 2026 gets underway, Middle Eastern organizations are demonstrating global leadership in Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption.
